Today was our first day working at the house. We are in demo mode, but on a small scale - the doctor said Rachel could go into labor any day now. We have prioritized; the floors and electrical upgrades are being contracted out prior to our moving in. Most everything else will wait.
The lovely carpet (pictured above) was the first thing to go. We picked up Sarah and headed to the house to rip it all out.
It came out easily - and is now rolled up on our back porch. The oak floors have been revealed, but could use some sanding and refinishing. Tomorrow...assuming there is no disruption to the day's scheduled events....I will have contractors over for estimates.
